About the Farm
About Our Flower Farm
MONTANA GROWN
We are locals. We love our community and neighbors. We want to contribute to the vibrance and health of our beloved Flathead Valley.
A FAMILY AFFAIR
Our flower farm is also our family home. The love we put into the soil and land comes from years of memories we sowed and harvested to share with you.
SUSTAINABLY-GROWN
We are committed to using sustainable and organic practices without the use of synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. No chemicals here.
Connection to the Land
Mountain Prairie Flower Farm is nestled in the Northern Rocky Mountains just outside of Whitefish Montana. Elizabeth Seymour heads up the blooming operation along with any willing family member that wants to pitch in.
________

Elizabeth comes from a proud lineage of gardeners. Her great-grandmother cultivated a full orchard in her backyard just from the peach pits her family had eaten and tossed off the back porch. Elizabeth's own father grew a huge vegetable garden to feed his many growing children. Aside from vegetables, he always made sure to include zinnias for the bees.

________
When Elizabeth and her husband brought their family to the mountains over twenty years ago, it was their desire to feed their children from the land and to be as self-sufficient as possible. As empty-nesters now, Elizabeth and her husband have come to understand that their connection to the land still feeds the soul as well as the body. The vegetable beds were converted to flower beds and that's how Mountain Prairie Flower Farm got its start.
